The Iranian Malaria Elimination Delegation Visited JIPD, China
With the support of WHO and National Commission of Health, Iranian delegation from Iranian Ministry of Health on malaria elimination visited Jiangsu Institute of Parasitic Diseases (JIPD) during 8th-14th December 2019.
During the study tour, Dr. CAO Jun, the Deputy Director of JIPD, introduced the innovative strategies and progress of malaria elimination in Jiangsu, China, as well as the main activities of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Research and Training on Malaria Elimination based-in JIPD. Additionally, the delegation had a deep discussion with Prof. GAO Qi on malaria elimination strategy and border malaria control. Meanwhile, the delegation visited the popular science museum, vector biology lab, malaria reference lab, Liyang county CDC, Daibu township hospital and China Customs in Wuxi.
After the communication and on-site inspection, JIPD builds a deep connection with Iranian malaria elimination group for further collaboration.
